56 percent of Duke Nukem Forever’s sales were recorded on Xbox 360, while the PlayStation 3 version saw 30 percent of the take. PC accounted for 14 percent, but you should keep in mind that digital sales (through Steam, for example) aren’t recorded.

Another new title to the chart, inFamous 2, appeared at No. 4, while previous chart king La Noire (sales down 54%) was forcefully removed from No. 1 this week, and has to be content with a No. 2 position. Zumba Fitness (sales down 2%) continues its charge for dominance by shifting up one place to No. 3.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (sales down 38%) drops three places to No. 5, DiRT 3 (sales down 37%) makes a similar step down to No. 6, and BRINK (sales down 1%) moves down ‘only’ two places to No. 7.

Yet another debut title, Red Faction: Armageddon, shows up at No. 8 during its first week on sale, with Xbox 360 accounting for a massive 70 percent of total sales, as total PlayStation 3 and PC sales were at 26 percent and 4 percent of the total respectively.

Call of Duty: Black Ops steps down to No. 9 from No. 7, and Portal 2 rounds out the Top Ten, appearing at No. 10 after its appearance at No. 9 last week.

Interesting results - let's see how things shape up in week number two....

Rockstar

Played Duke Nukem....very very disappointing. What the hell did the developers do for those 12 years!!?

Guardian: "If this was 15 years in the making, it makes you wonder what they did for the other 14 years and 10 months." – 2/5

That pretty much sums it up for me.

Oliver
