Warner Bros. Interactive and Snowblind Studios were showing the pair’s fantasy action title The Lord of the Rings: War in the North at E3 2011 this week with a frenzy of brand new screenshots, gameplay demonstrations and an awesome look at Beleram of the Great Eagles.

The cooperative elements of War in the North were also showcased as ‘the Fellowship of three’ (the human, elf and dwarf) banded together to forge ahead in an effort to overthrow Agandaur, Sauron’s chief lieutenant in the North.

Any member of this Fellowship may call on Beleram to join the fight and help the three at critical moments in battle, essentially becoming the fourth member of the group. Beleram is mighty indeed, and in the trailer below, you’ll see the creature effortlessly take on gigantic enemies dead-set on crushing the Fellowship:
