E3 2011: Last chance to visit Sony's virtual E3 booth in Playstation Home

PlayStation Home LogoPlayStation Home is not always the most interesting place to hang out, with advertising assaulting your senses from every direction instead of enjoyable, playable experiences.

However, if you’re a PlayStation fan it’s definitely worth your while to pay Sony’s virtual E3 booth a visit. It’s not going to be available for much longer so you best head on over there post-haste.

The main attraction in the virtual booth is a 3D model of the PS Vita which you can rotate and zoom in on. If you haven’t already seen photos of the console from every conceivable angle you should find this activity very interesting indeed.

I still can’t locate the power button on the device, but the volume + and - keys are now perched on the top (next to the R button) and just to the left of these are two discoloured panels which may be hiding slots for the two proprietary cards you’ll be using (one for games and one for storage).

You can also watch trailers in the booth for games like Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and Starhawk. After viewing all eight of the available trailers you will be granted access to a special VIP section of the floor which features new videos and an arcade cabinet where you can play the excellent PlayStation Home exclusive “Scribble Shooter.”

If you’re one of those people who love collecting rewards in Home the virtual E3 booth will delight you with a number of awesome obtainable items. My favourite has to be the PS Vita avatar reward - you can equip it in your wardrobe and run around Home holding the beautiful device in your hand. If there’s one way to prove to your fellow Home inhabitants that you’re a PS Vita fan before the console has even launched, it’s by having your avatar carry the very object of your desire!
