The legend that is Duke Nukem Forever is now available in stores in South Africa, the UK and Europe, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, bringing to an end fifteen years of development hell!
Thanks to the efforts of Gearbox Software and 2K Games, as well as the continued contributions of the game’s long-time steward George Broussard, a brand new over-the-top first-person shooter has arrived for us all to enjoy!
President of 2K Christoph Hartmann enthused:
“June 10 in the UK will forever be celebrated as the day that the legendary Duke Nukem Forever went from video game folklore to Earth shattering reality.
“For 15 years fans have waited in limbo just yearning to hear those two little lovely words strung together, Now Available. Today, the acronym ‘DNF’ changes its meaning to a ‘Day to Never Forget’. I am proud to announce that the wait is finally over and that Duke Nukem Forever is truly Now Available.”
What else is there to say about Duke Nukem Forever? We’ll let the game speak for itself with the recently released (crazily raucous) launch trailer, and a few newly released screenshots:

Comments:
I really really hope this game turns out to be as good as its trailers are......
It will be a average game, but it's Duke, so I don't really care!
15 years! It's going to take a long time to beat that...
Well, reviews so far have been dismal.
Nostalgia has won the day it seems when you look at the UK sales charts. Hopefully the developers can create a Duke game from scratch, their own game, not a patched-up version of somebody else's :P
