It’s been a busy day for Codemasters, first they revealed new screenshots for their upcoming first-person shooter Bodycount, and now they’ve announced that the Colin McRae Vision Charity Pack is out now for DiRT 3.
The Colin McRae Vision Charity Pack is available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Games for Windows Marketplace for 160 Microsoft Points, with all profits from the sale of this download content pack being donated to the Colin McRae Vision Charity.
The Charity Pack includes a Ford Escort MK II, a 1970’s Rally car made famous by Colin McRae, as well as five liveries. A series of weekly downloadable content will become available from now, including new cars and tracks for off-road rally fans to enjoy.
The publisher has also released the final DiRT 3 developer diary to celebrate the launch of the Charity Pack. This developer Q and A video features “DiRT 3 technical consultants Ken Block and Kris Meeke, WRC driver Mikko Mirovonen and key development staff recalling their own memories of the late, great Colin McRae. Viewers are also taken behind the scenes at Battersea Power Station, which was turned into a real life level from DiRT 3 for Ken Block’s latest Gymkhana driving video.”
