Hideo ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Kojima is always a busy game developer, and if he’s not thinking about the future of his most beloved franchise, working on a project for a year only to have it seemingly scrapped, or dreaming up new ways to thrill us with new technology, then he’s tweeting about his many and varied eating habits.
What about when he’s not doing any of that? He’s answering questions about Metal Gear Solid, and telling us about mysterious voice recording sessions (with pictures, to boot!).
What does the maestro have to say about MGS? Taken from a recent edition of the Kojima Productions Report podcast (in Japanese, translated by Andriasang.com), here are some answers:

Question 6: “Is Gray Fox the main character in MGS Rising?”

Question 7: “Will MGS Rising’s multiplayer be shown?”
Answer:
No
Question 8: “Is MGS Rising’s release date November 1, 2011?”
Answer:

Question 9: “Will MGS4 be ported to NGP?”
Answer:
No
Question 10: “Are you planning something big for Metal Gear’s 25th anniversary next year?”
Answer:
Yes
Intriguing stuff there, Kojima! So… not a whole lot going on at E3 2011, then, but let’s hope for some awesome Metal Gear Solid: Rising information, nonetheless.
But what of this mysterious voice recording session that Kojima recently tweeted about?
“I have been recording from this [morning],” Kojima shared, with a picture of the recording booth and a teasing look at the screen:
Hmm… Is that Raiden in that image, or someone else?

In a recent Twitter posting, Kojima additionally announced that he will not be attending E3 this year. From the tweet:
“Since I decided not to go to E3, I made an interview video hastily.”

the latest kojima productions podcast (english version) suggests that they'll have some big mgs: rising announcements at e3. maybe another trailer? a hands-on demo would be much better i reckon.
i wonder why the interviewer asked "“Is MGS Rising’s release date November 1, 2011?”" when the most recent rumours point to a november 2012 date? i don't think they're anywhere near completion on the project. japanese developers working on big titles typically take their sweet time this gen...
It's been a while since any concrete MGS: Rising news/media was released, so I'm looking well forward to E3 this year if there are plans for big announcements!
