Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have just announced that LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 will be available at the tail-end of this year across all formats, continuing the block-based adventures of Harry Potter while covering the stories of the last three books in the franchise (or the last four films, as you please).
In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, players will be able to enjoy all of the gameplay, lessons and potion-making skills that made LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 such a success, while making use of new tools necessary to protect yourself from new and familiar enemies (including… Voldemort!).
In addition, this new LEGO Harry Potter title will include new lessons, spells and extra content to make for “hours of family friendly gaming.”
Fan-favourite locations from the Harry Potter fiction will also make an appearance, including Privet Drive, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, as well as Grimmauld Place, the Ministry of Magic and Godric’s Hollow.
Managing Director at TT Games Tom Stone said of the game:
“In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, we are giving gamers a truly epic conclusion to the most successful movie franchise in history with delightful gameplay for fans of all ages. We have built upon the first game and are giving fans even more magical abilities, puzzle solving and exploration, in addition to our distinctive brand of hilarious LEGO humour and charm.”
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 will release in the fourth quarter of 2011 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, NGP, Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS, as well as the PC.
