Previously set to release later this year, it looks as though SEGA and Platinum Games have jointly decided to delay the release of the pair’s Anarchy Reigns action title into 2012.
According to the official Japanese website for Anarchy Reigns (and a translation by Andriasang.com), the title will now release in January of 2012. The release window for Anarchy Reigns has also been changed on SEGA’s Western websites to reflect the updated schedule.
A January release date for one of SEGA and Platinum Games’ last titles, Bayonetta, ended up working quite well for the pair, at least in the West in terms of buzz if not raw sales, so perhaps moving Anarchy Reigns out of 2011 and the craziness of the holiday games rush into a less busy early 2012 release is a good move.
If you haven’t yet ‘discovered’ Anarchy Reigns for yourself, you should dive into El33tonline’s previous coverage of the game for bucket loads of screenshots, trailers and information to get a better idea of this well over-the-top solo and multiplayer action game.
