As is becoming de rigueur, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal are promising fans of the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution some extra, behind-the-scenes content from the game leading up to its release in August.
The price of this content? A single ‘Like’ on Facebook from you.
If you ‘Like’ the official Deus Ex Facebook page, you’ll be contributing to an unlock process where a total of 90 pieces of special content will be made available, comprising items such as concept art, screenshots, behind-the-scenes videos and more information on Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
The page is currently sitting at a little over 20 000 ‘Likes’ at this point, with the next unlock arriving with 23 000 ‘Likes.’
A new item, a Human Revolution screenshot, has just been unlocked. Check it out:
Previously, a piece of concept art was unlocked, as well as a video featuring Human Revolution developers down at the gun range. You can find both of those at the game’s official site.
Eidos Montreal Community Manager Kyle Stallock said of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Facebook unlock process:
“Deus Ex has one of the most passionate, vocal and dedicated communities in all of video games, so offering a program that rewards that loyalty - even before the game is released - is a great way for us to give something back.
“The Facebook community now has significant control over the release schedule for some of our favorite assets. We have a ton of surprises and unlockables planned, so fans should invite their friends to ‘Like’ the page and start collecting these rewards.”
