As we barrel closer towards this year’s E3 games show in Los Angeles in early June, we’re going to start hearing more and more confirmations of highly anticipated games, as well as reveals of new entries to older franchises.
Recently, Randy Pitchford of Gearbox (Borderlands, Duke Nukem Forever) uttered such a confirmation.
In response to a question about when we’re going to see the next Brothers in Arms game, the Gearbox boss told consumer site XG247:
“Very good question, we absolutely love the Brothers in Arms series and the next game in the series is currently in development and expect to see and hear about it all very soon!”
So… look forward to a reveal of Brothers in Arms 4 at E3 in early June!
Pitchford has been vocal about his passion for the mutli-million selling Brothers in Arms franchise, and while the latest entry to the series, Hell’s Highway, apparently didn’t perform to expectations, sales-wise, I personally think that there’s still a lot the Brother’s in Arms games can bring to the stock-standard military shooter genre.
