It’s the end of another week, and the beginning of another long weekend here in South Africa - oh, the humanity!
While we leave you to look over this week’s news, a few competitions that we’ve got running and our most recent reviews, you can find out what the team here at El33tonline will be up to over the next few days:
Peter
“It’s yet another long weekend and I’ll be away for some of the days so my 3DS will be my platform of choice for the weekend, with Pokemon Black probably filling any downtime I have. Still trying to catch ‘em all.
“I will also be trying to get into PES 3D which shows signs of being really deep. I’m also going to try and steal Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars from Wayne because that definitely looks more my style for portable gaming.”
Tom
“Long weekends just keep on coming here in sunny South Africa, and so too do the good times keep on rolling. I have dedicated the next few days to making inroads into Crysis 2’s single-player campaign, and I’m banking on it being a blast. I’m always game for new forms of eye-candy, and by the sounds of it Crysis 2 boasts some particularly sweet sights.
“Have a good one p33ps and don’t forget to make use of the new ‘like’ button on our site when you stumble upon an article which raises your spirits or gets you dialing in that pre-order.”
Bryan
“This weekend has come far too quickly for me (is this ever such a bad thing?). Having just returned from my hiatus down in the Eastern Cape I am satisfied that my safehouse is still secure and I’ve also refined my rifle skills. Although it was a technology-free weekend it was not without excitement - the ‘beast’ of Steytlerville was on the loose (a shape-shifting demon, and it’s dinkum news!) but I never managed to spot it.
“For this weekend, apart from the rugby (and of course today’s very historic and unforgettable event … the penultimate Space Shuttle launch), I’ll be catching up with the 4th member of our Left4Dead survival team for some zombie slaying practice and otherwise trying my hand(guns) at some Black Ops zombies. Aside from that, it’s a slow recovery back to technology for me…”
Oliver
“What’s on the schedule for this here fella’?
“With PlayStation Network still down, I guess that SOCOM: Special Forces is out of the equation, so I’ll probably be taking one last look at theHunter while getting some time in with Stacking… although I still can’t get the Hobo King DLC because of PSN being down. Dang.”
Wayne
“Minute by minute is how this weekend is going to be experienced. Somehow it has snuck up on me and I find myself completely unprepared for it. There is a desire to fit in a couple rounds of the Gears of War 3 Beta, but other than that I am just going to wing it and see what happens.
“Have a great weekend.”
