THQ has just confirmed that Homefront has gone ‘gold,’ and is ready to go into mass manufacturing in order to make its way into retailers around the world. Handy, because the military-themed shooter is due for release in only two week’s time!

Executive Vice President of Core Games at THQ, Danny Bilson said of Homefront:

“Homefront is set to become one of THQ’s most successful original IP launches. The team at Kaos have spent three years building an FPS that competes with the very best, offering a thrilling and original single player experience and hundreds of hours of multiplayer.”

As mentioned, Homefront is a military-themed first-person shooter, but don’t expect to be tromping around in the combat boots of ordinary soldiers in the game. Instead, you’ll be fighting for freedom, and your life, as part of a resistance group trying to rid America of its invaders - North Korea.
