Winner of the Crysis 2 Nano Edition competition… revealed!

EA and Crytek’s astounding first-person shooter, Crysis 2, was released only last week across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and has gone on to drop the jaws of everyone able to clap eyes on this mighty title.

Everything about Crysis 2 is incredibly impressive, from the beautiful graphics and visceral sound effects, to the non-stop set-piece action and excellent abilities you can use to gain the upper hand in battles against vicious enemies!

For such a mighty game, El33tonline and EA South Africa teamed up to give you a chance to win a mighty prize – the amazing Nano Edition of Crysis 2 for Xbox 360!

Crysis 2 Nano Edition Package Small

After asking you to complete a story for entry to this Crysis 2 competition, we here at El33tonline were completely overwhelmed by the incredible responses – they are all absolutely fantastic!

El33tonline is extra proud and privileged to be able to share the site with all of you creative and talented p33ps, and thanks so much to everybody for entering and bringing your visions of Crysis 2 to El33tonline.com!

Unfortunately, we’re only able to hand out a single Crysis 2 Nano Edition (we would have loved to give everybody a massive box of Crysis 2 goodies) as the package is so limited, so without further ado, the winner of this mind-blowing prize is…

Reaver1898! Mega congratulations to you on winning Crysis 2 Nano Edition for Xbox 360! (Please note that we had to redraw the winner’s name because of a duplication problem with the entries)

Once again, we at El33tonline greatly appreciate the time you all took to enter this competition and we’re always thrilled to be able to bring these contests to you – thanks for your entries! If you’d like to read excellent pieces of Crysis 2 fan fiction, read over the entries over here!

Special thanks also go to EA South Africa for providing the Crysis 2 Nano Edition for this competition!

(Crysis 2 Nano Edition Competiton Fun Fact: When typing out ‘Nano Edition’ throughout the running of the competition, I instead typed, without fail, the name of a certain South African chicken restaurant…)

It's probably just sour grapes on my part, but I'm sure the whole idea of the competition was to continue the story from each other's comments?

It says "You are allowed to contribute a single new addition to the story, which will go towards a random draw for the prize." ...

If I understood that incorrectly, apologies for this rant. But if I did read correctly, I'm pretty miffed that someone who didn't read the instructions properly actually won the prize, I mean that isn't really fair on the entries that did read the instructions properly and actually submitted comments as requested.

GreenAvitus

Co-Sign, considering I put in a lot of effort into mine and the rules where pretty clear to me and my friends who entered

Sigh

Lisa

Hey guys, sorry that you feel unfairly done by with the draw. Everybody put a lot of effort into their entries and we drew the winner randomly, as we said we would. Each entry that added something new to the story was added to the lucky draw pot and the winner was chosen from there.

We have loads of new competitions going live tomorrow so please enter those and you'll stand another chance to win some really amazing prizes.

Failtron

Hi Lisa - I understand that most people put a lot of effort into their entries and that it was a random draw.

My gripe is more generally about the fact that people don't read the instructions/rules properly before entering, I feel that if a person does not abide by the rules (or couldn't be bothered to read them) and do what is required, their entry should not be allowed. I mean what is the point of having rules if you can win a competition without following them anyway?

That aside, thanks to el33tonline and EA for the competition and congrats to the winner.

Lisa

We definitely understand your point of view Failtron - thanks for pointing that out, we'll keep it in mind for future competitions. We always appreciate our readers feedback :)

@Bronwin - thanks for bringing the duplication to our attention, we hadn't noticed that Jaco had used your story. As a result we've had to redraw the winner. Sorry for this misunderstanding but congratulations to the new winner, Reaver1898.

thank Lisa for setting things right, Enjoy Reaver 1898. well about this kind of competitions, "where you have to right something long", i feel that the staff should look more to the quality the entry has given then just the entry "entering this kind of compitions". cause anyone can write something like 'blah' and actualy win, where the entry had to give a full sentence about a subject or object. but with other competitions its fine, cause there you can write 'blah' and hopefully win, cause the names are being put in a draw. but realy guys your website rocks, there is no better website then this. and @ Failtron, i understand what you mean man. well unlike me i enter for the fun even tho i love games to bits lol.

Lisa

Thanks for the feedback Bronwin - we'll definitely consider this for next time!

And thanks for the compliments about El33tonline - you are a true El33t P33p :)

Failtron

@ Bronwin I definitely agree with you about looking at the quality of the entry in these kind of 'story' competitions. Good on you for pointing out the copy/paste of your story.

@Lisa/El33tonline, good on you guys for setting things right :)

Congrats to the new winner!

Thanks to EA for sponsoring the great prizes, and also for keeping the prices of their newly released games low. The prices of their new releases are the cheapest around.

And thanks too to the El33t crew for addressing the community's concerns. Well done, and may you go from strength to strength.

Lisa

I agree, we have to give kudos to EA for their very competitive prices.

And thanks to Failtron, z00bear and all of our other readers for your support :) You guys should keep an eye out for an interesting competition coming soon, you'll definitely all be contenders!

Reaver1898
