Homefront sells 375 000 on day one in US, server capacity being added

THQ’s military-themed shooter Homefront arrived on shelves across North America two days ago, on the 15th of March. Since then the publisher has announced “robust” first day sales for the title and undertaken to add dedicated server capacity to meet the strong multiplayer demand.

According to a press release issued by THQ, Homefront sold a whopping 375 000 units in the first 24 hours on sale in North America. Brian Farrell, THQ President and CEO commented “We are delighted with first day sales for Homefront and are already fulfilling re-orders for the game from multiple retailers.”

“Homefront’s excellent multiplayer experience, combined with our commitment to dedicated servers, make this a must-have purchase for gamers,” said Danny Bilson, EVP Core Games, THQ. “Due to the strong and growing demand for Homefront’s multiplayer, we continue to add dedicated server capacity. We are confident that the large-scale multiplayer maps featuring 32 players, vehicles, infantry and drones, will continue to be a major draw for the huge audience of FPS gamers looking for a new experience over the coming months.”

Homefront is set during the year 2027 in a North Korean occupied United States of America. The game will be available across Europe, the UK and South Africa tomorrow. Look out for our review soon.

hey there, ok about homefront.. the campaign story i give a 8/10 the online multiplayer i give a 9/10 ok,,,about the campaign story, graphics looks good love the colorful look, lots of action and lots of sweet moments where you sometimes feel your actualy there on the battle field. ok now for the bad point, the enemy AI is not that sharp and all characters motion capture are a tiny little bit too stif.
now for the online multiplayer...mmmm my favourite lol. what makes the online multiplayer so good is that it features a 32player mode. the 32players mode is any normal and hardcore gamer's dream! its quick past action, your always pulling that trigger and you always find yourself in the middle of gunfire. there is never a dull moment you are always on the move. thats not all, the gadgets and vehicles are awesome, where you need to earn BP "battle points" to purchas some of these sweet vehicles. the game modes are sweet, some features a 24 player and 16 player but with a diferent game type in each mode and the maps are huge. all it needs are good running servers. this sweet game is surely for those who love huge warfare games. ITS WORTH BUYING. ;) and Lisa i think this game is the game lol.
