Bizarre Creations, creator of classic franchises like Project Gotham Racing and Geometry Wars, as well as the excellent Blur, is shutting down today.

The company was acquired by Activision Blizzard in 2007, and after sales of Blur and James Bond 007: Blood Stone failed to meet projections, and with no new properties in the pipeline, the publisher decided to close the studio after a number of other options were explored, including selling the Liverpool-based developer.

So today, February 18th, Bizarre Creations is no more, but we can remember the good times and their various and varied ‘creations’ thanks to a tribute video put together by former employee at the studio, Eamon Urtone.
