When Diablo III was first officially unveiled a couple years ago, developer Blizzard Entertainment showcased a game with visuals that many thought were heavily influenced by the company’s other runaway hit, World of Warcraft, what with its over-exaggerated proportions, unique colour palette, the looks of the special effects, and even the design of some of the enemies.

Now though, a massive batch of screenshots has emerged revealing what Diablo III could have looked like if Blizzard had continued down the path of a version of the game that was in development way back in 2005. And it looked… a little something… like this:
I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s very different from the current version and vision of Blizzard’s upcoming Diablo III, but personally I prefer the newer look to this ‘clean’ style.
