2K Games and Gearbox Software have just officially announced that Duke Nukem Forever will be getting a special edition release when it’s launched at the beginning of May, alongside the regular version of the game.
‘Cleverly’ entitled the ‘Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel Edition’ (…), this special version of the explosive first-person shooter will include the following items:
- Duke Nukem Forever poker chips
- Duke Nukem Forever mini-card deck
- Duke Nukem Forever postcard series
- Duke Nukem Forever foldable paper craft
- Duke Nukem Forever collectable comic book
- Duke Nukem Forever radioactive emblem dice
- Duke Nukem Forever radioactive emblem sticker
- Collectible bust of the greatest alien ass-kicker of all-time
- Numbered, limited-edition certificate of authenticity
- 100-page hardcover book: The History, Legacy & Legend: Duke Nukem Forever Art from the Vault
How much would you expect to pay for all of this? Well… an official price hasn’t yet been announced for this special edition Duke Nukem Forever package, but it’s sure to be not inconsiderable.
Duke Nukem Forever is of course scheduled for release on May 3rd in the US and May 6th in the UK and Europe, across Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms. Be sure to rummage through El33tonline’s previous coverage of the game for tons of screenshots, information and in-game footage.
