In yesterday’s financial report released by Activision it was revealed that the first downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops, the 5-piece map pack called First Strike, has managed to outpace the sales performance of previous map packs in the Call of Duty series.
In addition, a release date for the Xbox 360 timed-exclusive map pack has been announced for PlayStation 3 owners of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
First, the good news (for Activision): The First Strike map pack was able to sell a whopping 1.4 million copies in the first 24 hours of availability on February 1st, setting new records and racking up $21 million in revenue.
