Things have been a little bit quiet as far as The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is concerned, but the situation just got a little bit more heated with the release of a brand new batch of screenshots and a very grave trailer for Snowblind Studios’ cooperative action RPG.
The new images reveal one of the more frosty areas of the game, while the trailer tells us how the land of Middle-earth is in great danger of being destroyed by the corrupting power of evil, and how three adventurers will need to infiltrate Sauron’s forces, and attempt to weaken Sauron and his boundless influence.
Currently in development at Snowblind Studios (Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath) in association with Middle-earth Enterprises, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North will allow up to three players to “form their own Fellowship to fight Sauron’s forces in the North” in a mature, online, cooperative RPG set in Middle-earth during the War of the Ring,
The usual range of features such as character customisation, upgradeable skills and special abilities, while exploring areas unique to the Lord of the Rings universe.
