GameZone TV is a weekly online show produced by MWEB which delves into the South African gaming scene. Episode 9 explores a number of relevant topics, such as MWEB’s “Free the Web” campaign and how to find the End Portal in Minecraft.
However, the most pertinent point raised is the one about “Biotic Gaming Communities”. This is the term used to describe the various gamer gatherings which have been taking place all over the country during the past few months. These meetups represent the perfect opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals in a social setting (such as a restaurant) rather than the disembodied realm of the internet. These get togethers are also a great way to make contacts in the South African gaming industry.
Members of the El33tonline team have already attended a couple of these events in Durban and Cape Town, while so far missing out on those held in Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Hopefully we’ll see more Biotic Gaming Communities springing up across South Africa in the near future, with gamers from smaller parts of the country also being able to enjoy the benefits of socialising with fellow enthusiasts.

Comments:
Very interesting episode. Glad that the communities are growing all over SA. Next month I'll do my best to go meet my fellow CPTgamers at 2upgamers.
MWEB"s really stepping up for us SA gamers ... Hmm they might have scored themselves a customer ;)
