Disappointing, but not completely surprising given its previous delay…
That’s right - the release of EA’s snowboarding extravaganza, SSX, has once again been delayed, this time by a few weeks into late February (in North America) and early March (everywhere else).
The news was announced in an open letter to fans written by the creative director of SSX, Todd batty, who revealed that the game would only see the light of day in North America on February 28th and in Europe and the UK on March 2nd (weeks away from the last known release dates of February 14th and 17th respectively).
“I wanted to let you all know firsthand that we recently decided to take a couple of extra weeks to give our game the final bit of polish we think it deserves,” wrote Batty. “We hope that given how long you have waited for SSX to come back, you won’t mind waiting just a little bit longer.”
Batty cited his previous development experience in making the call to work on SSX for a few weeks more in order to make it the best possible game it could be.
“We are incredibly proud of where we are today and extremely thankful for all the support that you, the community, have given us in helping to shape this game,” Batty continued. “We are making this game for you, and we want to make sure that you’ll love it.”

Game looks really good, But I'm not that fully into this types of games. If it was handed to me I'll play it and enjoy it, but I won't go out of my way to buy it. The visuals really looks good and it does look fun.
Yeah I agree, I wouldn't buy it but I'd probably still enjoy the heck out of it. Ooh, paradoxical ;)
I love ssx i needs it!! SSX 3 was so awesome it was a 25min snowboard run from the peak to bottom. Totally worth it. I'm sad its delayed but i really cant wait to get this game.
Once again I'm excited about a delay, lol. February 14th was already going to see Twisted Metal and UFC Undisputed 3 released, two other games I was considering picking up. This delay will give me a chance to enjoy one of those without worrying about if I bought the right one. I have a gaming budget to stick to you know. And SSX is looking amazing.
