Football fans around the world have had a string of great FIFA games to play on their home consoles over the last few years, but very little in the way of quality football titles to enjoy on a portable platform.
EA Sports is hoping to change this skewed scenario with the release of FIFA Football on PS Vita next February. The game boasts all the features you’ve come to expect from a console FIFA title - HD visuals, eight game modes, online multiplayer and over 500 officially licensed clubs.
The game also sports a variety of exciting new features which are specific to the PS Vita version. These include touchscreen passing, defending and free kicks, as well as rear touch pad shooting which adds the welcome element of precision to goal-scoring.
Unfortunately FIFA Football on PS Vita will not feature any kind of connectivity with FIFA 12 on PS3, although developer EA Canada has expressed interest in tapping into the vast potential of cross-play and overall compatibility between future FIFA titles on PS3 and PSV.
