After the first official reveal of Sorcery for PlayStation Move at E3 2010, the game has gone into hibernation with little to no new information released since gamescom 2010 months later.
Finally, and here at the tail-end of 2011, a flood of new details (as well as screenshots and in-game footage) have emerged to assure us that the motion-controlled Sorcery is still very much alive and kicking.
Releasing in the ‘Spring’ of 2012 (or first half of the year), Sorcery for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Move “brings the world of magic and wizardry to life” as players are invited on a journey to fight through the dark world of the Faerie Kingdoms using arcane arts to fend off advances by deadly creatures.
On your quest, you’ll “encounter a multitude of enemies, solve ingenious puzzles, learn powerful spells, and craft strange potions with the in-game alchemy system,” all before facing ‘The Nightmare Queen’ who threatens to douse the light of the land and bathe the world in eternal night.
You’ll have access to over eight spells, each of which can be used in a variety of combinations, and you’ll use the PlayStation Move motion controller to cast these spells to defend and heal yourself, as well as destroy your enemies.
A newly released trailer for Sorcery reveals the game’s inner workings and gameplay:

Sorcery: a more realistic version of what I do in my free time anyway (wave a stick around imagining it's a wand) :|
Game looks really good and fun, but I don't own move so I'll give this one a skip, unless I get or been given a Free move kit then I'll get it.....I just see MOVE as the Wii in HD......Kinect is for me the best. can't they bring it to the XBox???
