After four weeks of domination, Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing has been rescued from the reign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but we now have a new master to answer to.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is that master, and thanks to a price reduction in the region and a sales increase of 145%, Bethesda’s epic action RPG has climbed to the top of the UK’s software chart, up from No. 5 last week.
Modern Warfare 3 (sales down 7%) is then relegated to No. 2 on the chart, while Just Dance 3 (sales up 67% with strong performance on the Wii and a debut PS3 version entry) steps to No. 3 from No. 4 last week. FIFA 12 (sales up 24%) is forced down two places to No. 4, while Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (sales down 5%) takes a similar tumble to No. 5. Battlefield 3 (sales up 30%) meanwhile jumps three places to No. 6 and Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call (sales up 5%) is a non-mover at No. 7.
Saints Row: The Third (sales down 2%) trips down to No. 8 after placing at No. 6 last week, Uncharted 3 (sales up 81% following a price promotion) is back into the Top Ten, in at No. 9 from No. 16, and Mario Kart 7 (sales down 1%) rounds out the list at No. 10, dropping two places to get there.

Comments:
Modern Warfare 3 used to be the topseller, then it took an arrow to the knee....
I'm happy that Skyrim is on top, but super happy BF3 started picking up sales again. I think with the new map pack coming out its going to start picking up more sales. Its an awesome game, Glad to see Zuma Fitness is still hanging in there. That game just doesn't want to drop off the list.
maybe sales on mw3 are slowing down because...well...everyone has it already ;)
Wait!!! ABBA really in the top 20 im lost....
Finally! Proof that there is hope for Modern Society. A single player only title and a dance title in the Top 3. May these Modern Battle Warfields find death's cold embrace quickly... ... yes, I hate Wwar shooters and how the totally dominate the market. It is strange to me. I don't understand it... Maybe I just like a solid narrative TOO much.
@Smuroh What do you have against ABBA?? haven't you heard their latest Hit? Tweeting me, Tweeting you?? Its a number one hit. Request it on your radio station.
