At this year’s Spike Video Game Awards ceremony, Uncharted developer Naughty Dog revealed the next PlayStation 3-exclusive game and franchise the studio is currently working on in the form of a jaw-dropping action adventure title, ‘The Last of Us.’
The chilling debut trailer was shown during the event and you can catch it below:
The Last of Us - Debut Trailer
Here’s what Naughty Dog and publisher Sony Computer Entertainment have to say about The Last of Us:
“The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague.
“Abandoned cities are being reclaimed by nature and the remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie (voiced by Ashley Johnson), a brave teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.”
Co-President of Naughty Dog Evan Wells enthused:
“We are excited to finally unveil The Last of Us, a project the team has been working hard on for some time. Naughty Dog’s mission is to change the way people experience videogames.
“We are confident The Last of Us will take a leap forward in cinematic gaming and storytelling, providing gamers with an experience unlike anything else in the industry.”

All i can say is WOW!!! :O Naughty dog please tell Sony you need this on Xbox360 also. Crap i think i'll have to invest in a PS3 because man i need this game.
Haha, no chance! PS3-exclusive ;)
Time to 'invest.'
Oliver if you have any connections with affordable PS3 can you please tell the p33ps we need to invest in multi consoles.
I'm with you Fullmetal, I think I also need to 'invest' ... However I've noticed that the PS3s price hasn't really gone down much since launch; as opposed to the 360's.
The PS3 is still a lot less expensive than it used to be with this year's price drop, and with holiday shopping, there are loads of bundles and special deals about. Invest wisely!
Oh ... wow ... this ... looks ... like another zombie game, though it is brought to us by a studio that knows how to tell a story. So, I'm cautiously excited. Just sad we didn't get a release date :(
Are they really zombies, though? Maybe they're... feral humans? Which is kind of like a zombie? But not really?
I dunno, premise seems cool to me. Enslaved + I am Alive + Uncharted + I am Legend equals awesome. ;)
The Last of US, is going to be another HIT!
I agree this has to come to 360 damn you Sony damn you!!!!!, looks set to be a good game, got that whole "i am alive" feel to it, i have a feeling those are either feral humans or have some type of mutation "ALA i am alive"
@Oliver yhea i would agree with the "I am Legend" actually makes it more understandable when u look at it like that even with the feral ppl
The xbox will RROD running this game.....!!!
PS3 FTW !!!!!
PS3 launched at R6599 now you get a 160gb for R2599 HOW can you say the console hasnt dropped reasonably in price ??
yum yum ps3 :D
Let me re-phrase: regardless of price drop, it's still fairly expensive (at least for my financial position). Can I ask where you saw that price? Might be interested in buying one, but I've only seen them in the R3000 range.
MacDeathZA the stand alone 160gb can be found for R2599 I bought mine last year for R2499 from HiFi Corp
Here MacDeath
