Hideo Kojima and Konami’s sword-slashing action title Metal Gear Rising has finally re-emerged into the world with an barnstormingly insane ‘revengeance’ trailer, showcasing Metal Gear Solid’s Raiden as he slices, dices and chops enemies into bits with lightning-quick katana attacks.
There may or may not be slow motion sequences and Raiden may or may not hurl a building-sized robot into the air and then proceed to destroy said robot a kilometre above ground. Who can say for sure?
But if that action is in the latest trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, it’s not the craziest thing to happen…
Metal Gear Rising - ‘Revengeance’ Trailer
As you can see in the official trailer, Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Vanquish) is helping Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions bring Metal Gear Rising to life by taking on development duties. You remember how insane (and insanely awesome) Bayonetta and Vanquish were, right?

@Fullmetal: I want my money back! :P
I've never really been a fan of the Metal Gear Solid games (okay okay, it's because I don't have a PS3) but this more action-y, more available-on-Xbox-y, approach I'm liking! ;)
think il pass, got sick of devil may cry, looks like a Kinect/move game
ok the first MGS game i played was on the PS1 i would have to say that was my favorite the others just didnt grab me that much, but this, this looks fun i wanna cut up a water melon
For me the best one was MGS 3 snake eater liked the story,the cutscenes( yeah you heard me) and big boss.When i get a PS3 one day will give MGS4 a try.
Alright! I mean, who doesn't love androgynous cyborg ninjas with super-human strength?
If you don't enjoy playing as an androgynous cyborg ninja with super-human strength, then you're probably already dead.
This game is going to be very different to past Metal Gear (Solid) games, but by the sounds of it, with the same over-the-top dialogue and melodrama of a Kojima game combined with the insane quips of a Platinum game.
Bring. It. On.
am i the only one that feels this is awesome but at the same time not in the style of the other metal gears. its hack and slash, not stealth and espionage. Im still going to get it though. @MacDeath_ZA you can get the first 3 metal gear solid games on xbox in one awesome hd pack for under R400, pity its not released yet.
