Media Create Japanese Hardware Sales for week ending November 27th: 3DS rules the roost

The latest Media Create hardware chart reveals that the 3DS continues to sell incredibly well in Japan, outselling all other consoles combined at retail. Nintendo sold a further 120 920 3DS systems during the last week - taking its regional tally to over 2.6 million units.

The Wii also fared relatively well thanks to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. 20 148 Wiis were sold during the latest accounting period - a 48% increase over last week.

Both PS3 and PSP sales dwindled to 34 031 and 33 151 units respectively after last week’s spike following the release of new colour revisions. If you look at the same period last year, both consoles were selling more than double what they are now. This decline is understandable for PSP seeing as though its about to be superseded by PS Vita, but Sony must be concerned about PS3’s current performance in Japan based on these comparative figures.

You can find the latest Media Create hardware figures below, while this week’s software chart is over here.
