One of the things which makes Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception so memorable is its intriguing combination of history and mythology. Amy Hennig, creative director and writer on the project, went to great lengths to ensure the historical events underpinning the game’s plot came together to create a believable and compelling ‘What if?’ scenario.
The latest behind-the-scenes video for Uncharted 3 delves into this historical inspiration for the game’s story. There’re many interesting details to be gleaned from the clip below, not least that Sir Francis Drake, T.E. Lawrence and Nathan Drake share more similarities than you would initially think.

The more i see about this game the more i want to get the series. It looks really good and the story behind it is awesome. When I win Uncharted 3 from El33t, I'll go out and buy the first two games on the spot. (So Sony, make sure i win so you can make more money out of me).
tomb raider was kind of the uncharted of the ps1 era, although it was a little less grounded in reality i think. indiana jones style games ftw!(-:
