A post on the US and European PlayStation Blogs have informed us that, as of November 18th, a policy update will come into affect regarding the number of PlayStation devices you’ll be able to activate on one PlayStation Network account for game content purchased from the PlayStation Store.
“For game content purchased after November 18, 2011,” reads the post, “a new policy will apply and the number of devices that can be activated will be as follows:”
PS3: Users will be able to play the game on up to 2 activated PS3 systems.
PSP: Users will be able to play the game on up to 2 activated PSP systems.
You should note, however, that this restriction doesn’t affect game content purchased before November 18th this year, while those PSP restrictions apply to the PSP system range PSP-1000/2000/3000, as well as the PSPgo.
The post continues:
“PlayStation Network users are able to change the activation setting through each device, and Sony Computer Entertainment plans to provide a new PlayStation Network account management website where users will be able to deactivate particular devices attached to their PlayStation Network account via their PC.”
How does this affect you, PlayStation fans? Do you regularly play downloaded game content across many multiplayer PlayStation devices, or do you generally just stick to one PS3 or PSP?

Comments:
I just stick to one PS3 & PSP. But i think this will bug a few other hardcore PS3 gamers. But we will see what happens.
I know people are going to get up in arms about this, but I don't know what fantastic life people are living where they would need more than two points to access their games.
This obviously cuts out game sharing, too, which I'm completely in favour of (cutting it out, I mean), so in the end it's a bit of a non-issue.
As long as you can deactivate content on one machine and move to another one (which it sounds like you can) then this is great. 2 is all I'll ever need.
I don't like the direction we're heading with all these restrictions... This is a Terminator-y future we're facing.
