To cap off a long week filled with high adventure and highly unfortunate criminal activities, the team at El33tonline will be trying to relax with the latest massive game release, Uncharted 3, while indulging in a few rounds of the hottest title of this year, ‘Insurance Claims: The Ones That Got Away.’
Let members of El33tonline fill you in on the details to find out what they’ll be keeping busy with this weekend:
Lisa
“I’m feeling kind of tired after a marathon gaming session with Uncharted 3 last night, but I can’t wait to do it all again this weekend! Then there’s that awesome PlayStation Move bundle I received this week to experiment with, nine different Move games to try out…
Wow, this job can be tough sometimes!”
Oltman
“If at first you dont succeed, try again. And again. And then again until you run off into the bushes behind my house with TV and both my consoles. That is right, I am without gaming this weekend. I have an unopened copy of Uncharted 3 lying there with lonely eyes looking up at me. This weekend will thus be spent playing “Paperwork” and some “Insurance Admin”.
Thankfully my PC was untouched by the intruders, so BF3 will keep me sane! I can’t wait to jump down a cliff again!
Remember to lock up guys!”
Tom
“‘Tis the time of the week to be jolly, and thus a weekend of fun and games awaits me. I’ll be spending some time with family tomorrow evening and then taking my lovely wife to Ocean Basket to satisfy her seafood craving at some point during the break.
There’s also the small matter of spending some more time with Uncharted 3 over the next two days… Although I wrapped up the campaign this morning I’m keen to give the various co-op maps a go. If you’re still on the fence about whether Uncharted 3 is worth getting then let me assure you it’s one of the most exhilarating games you’ll play this year, and the amount of graphical detail they’ve packed into the game’s vast array of environments is simply insane. Plus the lighting effects are the best you’ve ever seen on a console!
Peace out p33ps!”

“ONE THOUSAND! ONE FREAKING THOUSAND!
I made my one thousandth Xbox achievement this week! How crazy is that???
This weekend is going to be epic as I celebrate this milestone the only way a 1,000th achievement should be celebrated … playing more games!
I’m pretty sure I’m the only person on the planet that registers such milestones (and for those that missed their 1,000th moment… Bummer) so I doubt anyone will be bothered enough to join me in a toast.
Instead, the only social event I’m probably going to be attending is Oltman’s memorial service for his Xbox 360 which died last week. How ironic that the first game we played together on his Xbox was Dead Rising and the last was Dead Rising 2!
It sometimes pours instead of a light drizzle, and I’ll be sure to offer Oltman some gaming time at my place since his nice big TV happens to also have gone walkies during the week (one question I have is, how does NO-ONE notice some folks walking along the road with a 40” LCD tucked under their arm? It’s not like these things can be quickly ingested in an emergency effort of concealment, you know?).
Maybe, just maybe, I’ll end up reviewing the next Sims game since Oltman’s technically offline for a little while ;)”

"Lisa: I’m feeling kind of tired after a marathon" I am busy training for a half marathon, and here I thought you just ran a marathon lol, was like "Wha..??" but then I read further hehe :)
@Oltman sorry to hear about the break-in, I feel for you. I am also console-less as my PS3 broke and is in for repairs that will probably take 3 or 4 weeks. What a catastrophe! My PS2 will have to keep me busy :'( Think I'd rather just play nothing at all.
Enjoy playing Uncharted3 guys, I got to play it before my bluray drive died on me. What an amazing game.
@Oltman - Dude, I'm s sorry about the break-in, We will hold a virtual Memorial service for the things that have been taken.
@Achtung!Baby - I'm Busy training for the comrades. Looking forward to it. Will you be running next year?
I had a good weekend, had a great battlefield 3 session. Finished the game on saterday morning on HARD. and then the afternoon had a good fun online session with Smuroh, Fletbed and optimusaim.
Comrades, good luck POItjie! Hell no I won't be running it lol. Maybe one day in the future, but no plans for it yet. I'm not that fit.
there is still spots left to enter the comrades and there is just over 200days to train for the comrades.. I can't wait to do it. Everyone not running should watch the telly and see if they can see me running......
No ways I've never even run a 21km, training for my first. The comrades maybe one day when I'm 30 or something lol.
a 21km is not that bad. I've ran from the Gateway shopping Centre to Glenwood (Don't know if you know Durban). Its +-25km. the more you run the easier it gets. I wish i could go for a run now. I love my running.
@POItjie That's pretty impressive! Good luck for the Comrades. I've always said I need to run it at least once, but I went for about a 3km jog on Saturday and I wanted to die afterwards, so I'm a long way off even considering it ;)
Running is fun, one needs to start slow and gradually increase the distance. I remember the day i started I just did 2km a day and it felt like 20km, but the more i did it, the shorter it felt, so i started doubling it and look at me know. I"m a mean running machine. Maybe we should start an El33t Running Group?? Anyone wanna join me on some runs?
That would be so cool, but I live in pmb.
Maybe you can be the Head runner for all the PMB Running gamers....my next challenge before the comrades qualifier will be to run to the gateway and back. that will be enough to be a Full marathon. but I don't know when I'll have time to do it. Maybe we should make a Running game for Kinect....
lol it wont sell well.
