Battlefield 3 sells 8 million units since launch, ships 2 million more

Speaking at the Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco, Brown announced that Battlefield 3 has sold eight million units since releasing in late October this year, while twelve million copies of the the military shooter have entered retail channels around the world, ready for the holidays.

The team at DICE has been hard at work improving Battlefield 3 since release with a series of server and client patches, and while the game remains incredibly popular online, activity is set to spike with the release of the Back to Karkand expansion content in December.
