While living in South Africa grants us the boon of laying claim to one of the most beautiful, diverse and exciting countries in the world, we can all agree that there are problems to deal with, too.
Problems of extreme poverty, appalling living conditions and a severe lack of education and freely available medical care are just some of the urgent issues we as South Africans must tackle in order to make our beautiful, diverse and exciting country a true ‘Land of Possibilities.’
There is another problem that South African videogame players face everyday, and that is online lag in our console multiplayer games.
South African internet service provider MWEB has taken up the cause and is employing you, the South African gamer, to help it ease the problems of online lag in your multiplayer console games with a petition, calling on local and international game companies to address the issue.
“Let’s let the voice of the SA console gamer be heard!!” writes MWEB on its Facebook page. “We are tired of high pings playing on international servers when we still pay the full price for the game!”
If you would like to sign the petition, make your way over to MWEB’s online petition at its Facebook page, tag yourself in one of the provided images, and let your voice be heard.
Just keep everything in perspective, p33ps.
