UK Software Chart: Modern Warfare 3 goes three in a row for week of November 26th

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has managed to maintain the top position on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing this week, despite a whopping 41% drop in sales compared to the previous week.

This makes it the third consecutive week that Activision’s military shooter has slotted into No. 1, besting the game’s older sibling Call of Duty: Black Ops, which only managed to stick in for two consecutive weeks (Gran Turismo 5 shoved it out of the spot).

Another non-mover on the chart this week is Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (sales down 61%), but Saints Row: The Third (sales down 40%) climbs a single place to No. 3 this week. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (sales down 43%) swaps positions with Saints Row and moves to No. 4, FIFA 12 (sales up 22%) doesn’t budge at No. 5, new entry WWE 12 appears at No. 6 and another debut title, Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call, shows up at No. 7.

Just Dance 3 (sales up 22%) steps up two places to No. 8, Battlefield 3 (sales down 4%) trips a single place down to No. 9 and Super Mario 3D Land (sales down 12%) makes a similar move, only from No. 9 to No. 10 this week.

The other newly released game this week, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, appears at No. 38 during its first week on sale in the UK.

That's very sad that Zumba Fitness dropped so low. It kept its position in the top 10 for weeks now. Also bit sad Battlefield 3 drop so low. Everybody that doesn't have the game, go BUY it now.

Graeme

Sad to see Rayman Origins didn't even make the top 40. I hope sales pick up a little after the inevitable price cut, which can't be far away after such a dismal opening week.

POItjie

That true, I don't see Rayman on the list. Would love to get that game, the demo was really fun.

Activision is counting the zillion of dollars they earned so far in the Call of Duty series. I have gave them also alot of my money starting with Call of duty on PS2 then MW,MW2,WAW and now MW3.I skipped Black ops not a fan of the Vietnam era. I miss the Conflict series come Square bring it back if you own the IP.
