[Update] The news of a PS3 Skyrim title update has since been confirmed with patch notes, as well as an ETA for PC and Xbox 360 players - details over here. [End of Update]
It’s being reported by users on the official Bethesda Softworks forum that the long-awaited patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available for PlayStation 3 gamers.
While a patch of some description was released last week for PC players, console owners were made to wait until Microsoft and Sony certified Skyrim’s title update for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively, but if the reports on the forum are true, PS3 owners are now able to download the 92MB patch for the game.
Reported features include a fix for the ‘stuttering’ or ‘lag’ issue that has been plaguing PS3 gamers since the release of Skyrim, allegedly caused by inflated save game file sizes. Also, one user reports that texture detail has been slightly minimised, but there’s no saying for sure until we get some official information from Bethesda.

Comments:
That's actually a small size for a patch. Would love to get this game. but I'm afraid it is going to suck some much of my time away from all my other games I need to play. Battlefield 3 MP is doing that at the moment.
Guns and bullets are no match for swords and armor in games anyway. ALALALALALALALA that is my Dragon shout, bullets be gone.
Smuroh pulls back the bolt on his sniper rifel loading a round into the chamber, holds his breath slowly pulls a trigger and puts a bullet between the crazy mans eyes who is running around in a skirt screaming "ALALALALALALALA that is my Dragon shout, bullets be gone!" on closer expection realizes its Fullmetal MDK and rolls his lifeless body off the cliff so no one will notice
