If you’re looking to get to grips with id Software’s latest first-person shooter before deciding whether or not it’s worth a purchase, then a demo for RAGE has recently become available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Weighing in at a sizeable 2.03 GB, the RAGE demo is officially described thus:
“Welcome to Wellspring, a small oasis of civilization in the Wasteland. The Ghost Clan, a cult of murderous fanatics, has infiltrated the waterworks beneath the town with plans to poison the water supply, and you’re the only one with the weapons, talent and courage to stop them.
“Also while in Wellspring you can meet the townsfolk, try your hand in games of skill and chance, peruse the wares of the local vendors or hit the Speedway for some white-knuckle racing.”
Sounds like a good way to demonstrate a slice of everything RAGE has to offer!
You can read El33tonline’s review of RAGE to see what we thought of the shooter, and if you’re sitting on the fence, you can queue up your download of the demo over here to see for yourself (currently only available to Xbox LIVE Gold members).
Looking for the RAGE demo on PlayStation Network? Bethesda Softworks’ own Pete Hines has sent out word that the taster will appear for PS3 owners on December 6th.

Comments:
That is a huge DL size, and the thing that gets me is why is the demo released after the actual game release, just my point of view but shouldnt you let ppl try it first before releasing the game?
thanks for the heads-up os! busy downloading it now(-:
If you haven't tried this game yet, then download this demo NOW. The game is really good. I'm enjoying it a lot, wish i could get really dug into this game.
@Smuroh I see this happens a lot, they release the demo few weeks after the release so when people try it and like it they go buy it straight away. (IF that makes any sense)
@POItjie i guess you are right, i would just like to be able to play the demo first that way you get teased and end up really wanting it, just like NFS the run after the demo i now want the game same as rayman origins its now on my wanted list just because of the demo
I got so many games on my Wanted list from demo's I've downloaded onto my Xbox. This is one of the reasons why i don't like playing demo's, the other reason is you actually gets spoilers from the demo. But i want NFS the Run and Rayman Origins.
still waiting on my Raving Rabbits Alive & kicking Lisa promised to give me, and the Rabbit statue she bought in Germany ;) (Lets hopes she sends it soon.)
