We’ve asked you before what your top pet peeves in gaming are, and we’ve even asked you what popular trends in gaming you wish would end, but with this Question of the Day, we’re flipping it around.
What favourite feature do you wish was in more games?
Have you ever played a game and realised that there’s something special about the way the developers have implemented a feature? Have you ever played a game with a stand-out feature that you think would make other similar games that much better and enjoyable?
There are probably hundreds of little things that we notice in games that could enhance other titles, but I’ll choose one in particular because I keep wishing I would find it in every third-person shooter I play.
In Vanquish from Platinum Games, the game lets you to set aiming sensitivity for different situations, like aiming down the sights and in full third-person mode, allowing you greater freedom and precision in different views. Other third-person shooters don’t do this, but I sure wish they would!

Save game, anytime, anywhere...
@Oliver i would agree with you on the Vanquish settings, i love that game still need to finish it though. As for what i would like to see more in games that would be Co-Op and a good cover system like with Gears, i think Gears had the best cover system to date.
Allowing me to play my own music from the XMB. The fact that most games disallow this simple feature is both baffling and extremely irritating at the same time. Actually, it really pisses me off for some reason.
@John, thats why i prefer plying on xbox :) a feature i would love to see is the ability to upload your face in multiplayer games or co-op games, that will be something cool, in Fallout or Elder Scroll games :)
@fletbed now thats a good idea especially for those open world "sandbox" games
do a 3D scan of your FACE with the Kinect and bam! you got your own face in the game :)
Auto patching is top on my list. It really grinds me when I revist a game only to find out it needs to be patched before I can go online. It just takes all the fun out of the experience don't you think. Patching should happen in the background seemlessly. Why wait to ask me if I want to patch...it is not like I can say no and still get online. Grrrr!
Maybe a feature to record gameplay....like GT5 has photo mode this way you could save the vid and post it on sites for those who didnt believe your score ....LOL
@Viking - I agree. I would really like at least a photo mode that would allow me to take screen shots whenver I wanted.
Well this isn't really a feature, or somerhing that's been done before but ... Wouldn't it be AMAZING if you could exchange your Gamerscore for MS Points :D EXTREMELY unlikely but hey, a man can dream ;)
More thought and effort into single player & multiplayer offline modes.
Open world with less linear story. That's always a great thing for me.
