LA Here we go again. I think i'll stick with Saints Row this time.
It's very pretty, but does it look like a game I NEED to play. Not really. I suppose that's a bit harsh, it doesn't really show any core gameplay, but I'm not really taken with it.
I think the core gameplay of Grand Theft Auto is a known quantity at this point, and other than refinements and a few new introductions, it's all about the story and playing through that story in a sandbox open-world context.
It's going to be GTA, but I think we can't discount it until we learn more and actually get to play it. Still excited. ;)
the visual look great, and the world is massive......but I think my vote will still go with Saints Row. SR has Burt Reynolds......who does GTA have??? would like to see more about this game. But I'm not that excited about GTA.
I need my Topdown GTA again.......please!!!!!!!!
i'll definitely play it to see if it's worth sinking dozens of hours into. i've finished every gta game from iii to san andreas but somehow iv never managed to hook me - stopped playing after about 5 hours...:'(
The only GTA I ever finished was GTA2, I played GTA1 but only really messed around with it, and I got quite far in GTA3 for the PS2 but never finished it for some reason. I haven't played a GTA game properly since that, missed out on Vice City, San Andreas and GTA4.
POItjie, you aren't ever going to get topdown GTA again (at least, not on a console, maybe on iOS/Android), but if you're interested in some old-style action, check out Retro City Rampage, coming out this year on XBLA, it's like a NES-style homage to GTA (and several other games).
Cool thx, will have a look at it. I know they releasing GTA3 for Android/iOS soon. I'll have to wait till next year till I get my new Android phone.
Maybe we need to recreate GTA 1 or 2 for XBLA and present it to Rockstar games
