Nintendo has today announced that a black version of the new Wii (revealed earlier this year) will soon become available bundled with Mario Kart Wii, which the company says is “a perfect present for racing fans this Christmas.”
Available in the UK and Ireland this Friday, November 18th, Nintendo notes that the new black Wii (which unfortunately no longer supports Gamecube games or accessories) is the same size as the previous model Wii, but stands horizontally (rather than vertically) and sports a slightly altered configuration.
The black Wii and Mario Kart bundle will also include a black Wii Wheel - “[shaped] like a steering wheel, simply place your Wii remote into the Wii Wheel casing for the ultimate Mario Kart experience.” Fantastic.
The bundle hasn’t yet been announced for territories outside the UK and Ireland, but gamers in the US are currently able to buy a similar bundle, only with New Super Mario Bros. Wii included in the package.

Comments:
Looks like Nintendo is trying to cash in on the Xmas fever. Wonder why they not focusing so much on the 3DS too. Maybe its still coming. I've never tried Mario kart on the Wii. Is it any good. How realistic is the handling of the karts etc. (Just joking, I know its an arcade racer)
i miss crash team racing :''(
