Blame ‘technical difficulties’ or anything else you please, but any way you cut it Gears of War 3 owners won’t be getting around to playing the game’s new content, the Horde Command Pack, as soon as originally planned.
Announced for release on November 1st, the enormous Horde Command Pack for Gears of War 3 was set to include new weapon skins, characters, fortification upgrades and three new maps, all of which would have been available today for 800 MS Points over Xbox LIVE.
Not so, says a post on the official Gears of War forum, which points to “a technical issue” as the reason behind a delay for the content.
“We apologize to those of you who are anxiously awaiting to play,” reads the forum post. “We know this is disappointing news as we’ve seen a lot of posts today showing excitement for this content. We have folks working around the clock to resolve this issue ASAP so you can all play and enjoy the Command Pack.”
We’ll let you know of any updates.
