We had a collection of leftover videogame news bits that we didn’t know what to do with, so instead of throwing them away and casting them into the great unknown of the internet, we carved out a home and carefully placed them here.
What’s the latest word on games like Uncharted 3, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine and Duke Nukem Forever? What’s up with the latest 3DS colour and Double Fine’s ‘Pack of Brütality?’
Let’s find out:
Duke Nukem Forever ‘Hail to the Icons’ DLC arrives on October 11th
As promised, the first set of downloadable content for Duke Nukem Forever is due for arrival on October 11th and October 12th across Xbox 360 (via Xbox LIVE), PlayStation 3 (via PlayStation Network) and PC (via Steam).
Called the ‘Hail to the Icons Parody Pack,’ the content will add new maps, modes and weapons, while a Duke Nukem Forever patch will release alongside the DLC to fix some bugs and optimise performance. Find out more about the Hail to the Icons Parody Pack at the official microsite over here.
FIFA 12 console patch arrives in roughly two weeks
EA has confirmed that the publisher’s recently-released FIFA 12 football sim will receive a console patch in the next two to three weeks which will aim to fix a host issues players have been having with the game, including the inability to access FIFA Ultimate Team,
A PC patch will also be released shortly to address issues such as frequent disconnects from Origin, unnecessarily large downloads, online exploits, and more.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine Exterminatus multiplayer DLC dated
The previously announced multiplayer downloadable content for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine has been dated for October 25th across PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The DLC is called ‘Exterminatus’ and will add four-player online co-operative functionality, with multiplayer rankings being affected by your performance in co-op. Unlocked multiplayer perks can be used in the co-op mode, too.
Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 gets hi-res texture pack, beta gets Caspian Border
In exciting news for Battlefield 3 players, it’s been revealed that the Xbox 360 version of the game will enjoy the addition of a so-called ‘high resolution texture pack,’ where you’ll have the option of installing textures of a higher quality to your hard-drive for use in the game, from the second disc.
Also, PC players currently entrenched in Battlefield 3’s open beta will be able to dive into the Caspian Border map this weekend in order to experience the full might of 64-player action, with jets and vehicles available to intensify the game.
White 3DS announced for Japan
Nintendo recently announced that an ‘Ice White’ version of its 3DS handheld will become available on November 1st in Japan for ¥15,000 (roughly $195).
The white 3DS will follow in the footsteps of other 3DS colour variants, Aqua Blue, Cosmo Black, Flar Red and Misty Pink (arriving on October 20th in the country).
Uncharted 3 is finished, says Naughty Dog
While it hasn’t yet officially entered ‘gold’ status, Naught Dog’s Arnie Meyer has revealed that the studio’s Uncharted 3 is done.
Uncharted 3 still needs to make its way through Sony’s rigorous certification process (where the game will be subjected to all manner of torturous testing to make sure it works as promised), but with a developer as professional as Naughty Dog, this period is merely a formality – expect gold status for Uncharted 3 to be announced in the coming week.

Comments:
I can't wait for the Space Marine DLC to come out, that game is built for COOP. The Battlefield 3 info is interesting. I think that is an great idea from DICE. I was hoping the DNF DLC would have contain some single player addon, as i havent tried the MP in that game yet.
Double Fine is awesome, I really enjoyed Brutal Legends, but they really should just bring out Full Throttle 2 and Remake the first one for XBLA and PSN. long live the legend.....
Uh-oh... someone said Double Fine is awesome! Yay, a kindred spirit. ;)
If Double Fine ever got the rights to Full Throttle from LucasArts, I wonder if Tim Schafer would want to make a sequel - all of the games he's worked on (except Monkey Island 2) seem 'complete,' so a follow-up isn't always necessary.
If he ever worked on another Grim Fandango, however...
I forgot that LucasArts has the rights to Full Throttle....(How could i forget that, HOW???) But I think a follow up to Full Throttle would be awesome, but only if Tim Schafer works on the sequel.
still need to play uncharted 2! :'(
@ fletbed don't stress i still need to play Uncharted 1 & 2..... What happen on saturday? i sent an invite to our GOW3 session, but then you went offline?
