There are already six Resident Evil titles available in digital form on the PlayStation Network, and today Capcom announced that two more games in the franchise will be coming to PS3 in the foreseeable future.
The two titles are Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles - on-rails shooters released on Wii in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Both games feature scenarios from previous titles in the series including, among others, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection will include both games on a single disc; remastered in HD and with PlayStation Move support.
The game’s release date and pricing is still unknown, and it’s also unclear at this point whether the two titles will be released separately on PSN (if at all) as was the case with Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
We’ll keep you posted on this exciting addition to PS3’s Resident Evil catalogue as more details on Capcom’s latest HD collection emerge.

Another game that is tempting me to get Move....can't they bring this game to the Xbox with Kinect function. I want to get some more resident Evil games. love the series. I need to find more scary games. seeing that its Halloween today. Silent Hill here I come.
now capcom just needs to bring RE zero and the RE1 remake to ps3 to complete the colleciton(-:
isn't RE Zero coming to XBLA & PSN???? I know some of RE remakes are coming as downloads.
no, unfortunately not. psn currently has re 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and code veronica and is getting these two 'chronicles' games as well. not sure if nintendo has some kind of claim to zero and the re1 remake since they appeared as gamecube exclusives...?
DID YOU KNOW that Sinji Mekami the man who created Resident Evil wanted this game to be Nitendo exclusive, no joke, Capcom said no, so he left capcom and formed his own games campony. >:)
Nintendo*
i didn't know that fletbed! so do you mean that shinji wanted the entire resident evil series to be a nintendo exclusive? because i know he was still working for them when resi 4 was released... i am personally against exclusives although i don't mind if a game comes out on a certain console first and is then ported to another one. so glad dark souls is on xbox 360 too! i'm hoping resident evil: revelations will be ported to ps vita and that resi zero and the remake of 1 come to ps3, xbox360 and psv sometime soon! those two games have incredible pre-rendered backgrounds and are epic examples of old-school survival horrors(-:
Another good old-school survival horror I enjoyed was "Cold Fear". It was really well made and they never made a sequel. Anybody else played it?
The latest Resident evil revalations trailer reminded me of the game when i saw the ship they went on...
@Tom, yes true story, RE 1 was suppos to release on the N64 but couldnt do what the ps1 can do, so they were forced to develop on the PS1 but Shinji was waiting for Nintendo's new console, and RE 4 was his last. the same happend with Metal gear solid :)
Shinji wanted exclusive, Kojima wanted power, lol
@POItjie, cold fear was cold as ice baby! lol yes i played that on xbox 1 hahaha, was great :)
