This entire week (and arguably the last few months) have lead up until this point, today: Battlefield 3 is available now around the world, and many of us here at El33tonline will be fully entrenched in the game’s signature style of multiplayer warfare, as well as that excellent singleplayer campaign.
As always, there are a host of other games to play and activities to indulge in, and here are just a few of the things members of El33tonline will be keeping busy with this weekend:
Warren
“It’s time to get some serious augmentation going with Deus Ex: Human Revolution on the PS3. When I’m all drained out from fighting crime and unfolding the mystery of my condition, I’ll be trying get my PES 2012 skills up and maybe go a couple matches with some mates.
Forget the cricket and the rugby - it’s all soccer this weekend for me.”
Oliver
“Relax. Take it eeeeeee-eeeeeasy!
Like most everyone else, I’ll be stealing some time to jump back into Battlefield3 multiplayer for a few rounds of online mayhem, and I may even replay the campaign to relive all of those great events - this game is amazing, to be sure.
I’ll also be continuing on my journey in the world of Skylanders: Spryo’s Adventure, which is turning out to be a wonderful and pretty deep action RPG. I’m having a great time with it!
I may dip into RAGE for a bit, too, and I plan on watching the Currie Cup final with a few friends this weekend as well. Overall, a comparatively relaxed weekend, which is just fine with me!”
Oltman
“Interrupt my BF3 game again and see what happens…”
Daryl
“Sorry for being so quiet everyone but I’m in the middle of exams :( Study study study… and some more studying - 3rd year exams so stress levels are high.
I will be making time to watch the Currie Cup final on Saturday and see the Sharks successfully defend their Currie Cup title against the Lions!
Maybe just maybe I’ll be able to seek in some NHL 12 - Be a Pro mode and season mode. I’ll be doing my best to hold off playing Batman Arkham City until I have finished my exams.
Enjoy the weekend!”
Bryan
“Three words:
Battle. Field. Three.”
Tom
“Once again it’s time for the fun and games to commence! Tomorrow evening there’s the spectacle of another Currie Cup final featuring The Sharks, and I’m really hoping the boys can bring home another cup to our sun-bathed coast.
Other than that, I’ll be dreaming of all the great games coming out in the next few weeks - Uncharted 3, Sonic Generations and Rayman Origins. Speaking of games, Dark Souls never ceases to amaze with its addictive gameplay and awesome discoveries around practically every turn. Today I began using a lightning-infused spear which made battles against even the weakest opponents an absolute joy.
Am I the only one who starts talking to myself excitedly when I see 300 hit points appear above an enemy’s head following a simple stab?
Have fun everyone!”

I'll be doing some Battlefield 3 and might dig in deep into RAGE......or I might dig into Space Marine....I have so many options, will just have to put all of the names into a hat and pick one and play that......
But will be doing Battlefield 3 alot this weekend.....
Still busy catching up on Gears 2, Outland XBLA and of course, The Currie Cup final.
Sorry you Durbanites, the cup goes to Ellispark this year
Covering the MWEB BF3 Launch Event this evening, work, spend time with the girlfriend, play some more Arkham City and then finish off any other incomplete games.
More Gears 3 and Forza 4 for me this weekend. Unless I win a copy, I'm probably not going to play Battlefield 3 this year, too many other games in the queue.
Also, as Pantsula pointed out - Currie Cup final! I'm actually pleased the Lions are doing well again, but I think the Sharks will be bringing the cup back with them.
Same as Daryl I'll be studying hard... But doing it so I can sneak some Uncharted 3 time next week. :D Third year exams are indeed forcing the stress levels up.
Haha, pantsula, you so crazy - the Sharks are going to destroy. First the Twitter mix-up, and now this? Sounds like you need some rest... ;)
(j/k to the max - it's going to be an awesome game!)
Hehe, yes, but not sure when that will be...
Think my body went AWOL and joined the ANCYL march last night
Dark Souls and Gears 3. So simple
The only thing standing between me and the battlefield this weekend is work will only enjoy Battlefield 3 when i am off for a few days next week. And the currie cup final hey WP is going to take it this year. Muwhahaha ;)
I hope the studies go well Thanticore.
