Earlier this year, Nintendo confirmed the existence of a 3DS peripheral that is to add another analog circle pad to the handheld to allow for dual-analog control of upcoming games, including Capcom’s 3DS-exclusive Monster Hunter 3G.
Available in Japan on December 10th alongside the next Monster Hunter game the add-on will be known as the ‘Nintendo 3DS Expansion Slide Pad’ in the country, but if you’re living outside of Japan, the peripheral might be known as something different.
According to a trademark filing picked up by Siliconera, Nintendo has claimed the name ‘Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Pro’ for a product of some description, for the West.
Nintendo of America and Europe have hardly squeaked a peep about this add-on, but word doing the rounds is that the peripheral will become available with the release of Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS next year, which will take advantage of the dual-analog abilities of the device.
The ‘Circle Pad Pro’ follows similar naming conventions for past Nintendo products, including the ‘Classic Controller Pro’ released for the Wii, so the name makes just enough sense to be real.

Comments:
Why not add a second analog stick in the first place??? everyone asked for it for ages.....but if you think about it, not alot of Nintendo games needs two sticks anyway. but i have to say it makes the unit alot bigger.
They should change the name of now to 3DSD or 3DSDC or 3DSDP or maybe 3DDS. ;)
What about 'N3DSE-SP: The 3DSCPP?'
Has a nice ring to it...
