If there's a wicked cool figurine in there, I will definitely consider it. But only for those big games that I simply cannot live without, like Gears of War 3, Uncharted 3 and Batman: Arkham City. I'm hopefully picking up my Batman Collector's Edition tomorrow - soon The Batman will be mine!

I would have gotten myself the limited edition Gears 3 console had it been available here, but I generally steer clear of CEs. I will be buying the ME3 CE though, to go with the ME2 one I have already.

My last collectors edition was Deus Ex which was probably my best one to date. It has to have something special to make it collectors for me, not just game DLC.

Not only collectors edition games is limited in SA but also the limited edition consoles which does not seem to be comming to SA. This sucks as I would love to get one. Megaromgames need to sort themselves out.

I like my collector Editions, but I don't buy them all. Only selective. Like I bought the Halo Reach Legendary Edition & the Halo Reach Limited Edition Xbox 360 S, there is a couple of others. I would so want to get the Diablo 3 CE as its freakn awesome.

It really depends on the game. I mean, I was going to go pick up my pre-order Duke Nukem CE, but my Batsenses tingled and told me to wait. And I am happy I did. My CE for Arkham City was delayed and playing the normal game just felt bleh; felt empty. But most of the times, the stuff which comes with it are worth it. So do I buy collector's editions? Not really. Only if the monay s there and only for the games which REALLY are worth it (Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed Revelations etc).

Depends entirely on the contents, or in some cases, price difference. I spent R80 more on the Deus Ex: HR Augmented Ed, not much more to pay for the extras I received. The special editions are mostly very expensive, so I've only bought a few.

I only have Halo Reach Ltd Ed, Mass Effect 2: CE, Gears 2 Ltd Ed, Gears 3 Epic Edition, Mortal Kombat Collectors Ed and then the above-mentioned Deus Ex: HR Augmented Ed.

Well yeah for certain title's it is most definatly worth it especially if you getting something really epic with it. I haven't bought any this yeah but i am getting the Assassins Creed one so thats gonna be good

Getting the CE or LE for XBOX racing titles, Forza 4 LE is top of the current list..

I would love to buy them but the price can sometimes be way over the top, but im really happy with my Space Marine CE im a huge warhammer fan so i had to have it.

I love Collector's Editions. I always plan on buying them but I never do. It's just too much money at the end of the day, I might as well go buy another game. The Uncharted 3 Explorer's Edition and Batman Arkham City CE and Skyrim CE with that amazing looking dragon almost had me, but I chickened out. A good thing I guess.

Have ordered the Skyrim Special Edition. We have the special editions for: Batman: Arkham City, the Witcher 1 and 2, Fable 3 and there are another couple that I can't remember. But it's all about cost... I think the Diablo III SE is going to be quite expensive!!!

O yes, does the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition count?? I'm getting it on Friday, woooooo can't wait. would have love to get the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition. I think the real issue with CE in SA is the pricing. Lets hope the Diablo 3 CE is the same price as what the Starcraft 2 CE was...R799 ( i can hope can i)

Hardly ever, I buy the standard edition of most games. A lot of the CE stuff, like figurines, fancy boxes and making of DVDs I'm not particularly interested in, and it's rare for me to be keen enough on an art book or soundtrack to justify the extra cost. If they have additional in-game content which I want (Forza 3 and 4 had extra cars and tracks) I will go for them.

I like the idea that Dark Souls had, which was that the first run of games sold were automatically the limited edition, so people who bought them for full price near launch (rather than waiting for the game to be discounted) got the extras for no additional cost, rather than charging R200 extra for things people might not necessarily be willing to pay for.

Batman GOTY edition, Dragon Age Complete Collectors Edition. Mass Effect 3 N7 collectors edition next year. I would say that is a yes if getting it is worth while

I do when I can. I tend to pre-order them but can hardly afford them when the time comes :/
