A new set of downloadable content (DLC) has just been announced for Gears of War 3 that will feature an entirely new campaign experience for the game, which takes place prior to the events of the original Gears of War.
Titled “Raam’s Shadow,” the DLC will star “a cast of characters both new and eerily familiar to the series” and is said to deliver over three hours of additional campaign gameplay, set during events prior to those seen in the original Gears of War.
Six new multiplayer characters, the ‘Chocolate Weapon set’ and an extra 250 Gamerscore points are also up for grabs in Raam’s Shadow, all of which will become available on December 13th for 1200 MS Points.
This news follows the announcement of the ‘Horde Command Pack’ DLC for Gears of War 3, which releases in November - get information on that over here.

Excellent, some new SP content.
Chocolate Weapon Set? O_o
Ok, now this DLC sounds interesting and well worth it. I'll have to scratch around to get enough points to get this DLC.
and i just have to say the image is really awesome and bad*ss.
Definitely - Raam is a genuine bad dude (I wonder if he's ever fought against the Dragon Ninja).
Interesting dlc i must say. also doing the math on this it seems the season pass will be a better value for money option. Wel until the price of all dlc eventually drops
For sure, if you're really into Gears of War 3 then the Season Pass is the way to go to get all of the upcoming content - two DLC packs already announced and more waiting in the wings.
i would have loved to get the season pass, but will just have to wait and get the selected DLC's. and when they become DOTW i'll get them, that reminds me i have 3weeks of gold membership left......
mmmm...sounds yumy (chocolate weapon) :)
