The demo for Need for Speed: The Run is now available on the PlayStation Network. You’ll get to test drive the Lamborghini LP550-2 Valentino Balboni and the Porsche Carrera S in two locations in the US in the demo, Desert Hills and Independence Pass.
“Desert Hills will have you jockeying for position through the sweeping Nevada highways, while Independence Pass presents an entirely different challenge. An avalanche bears down on your Lambo (or Porsche) as you dice it up against an Audi R8, avoiding falling boulders and the onslaught of snow that’s right on your rear bumper. At that point it’s not so much about winning as it is surviving!”
Of course your racing times will be tracked using Need for Speed’s Autolog feature, so you’ll be able to challenge your friend’s best times online. You’ll also be able to challenge Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Chrissy Teigen and Irina Shayk as rival racers, if you beat Chrissy’s time on Desert Hills you could win a trip for you and three friends to check out the Sports Illustrated swimsuit party in Las Vegas. More details on how to enter over here.

Comments:
I'm so happy I've downloaded the Demo onto my Xbox yesterday, can't wait to give it a try this afternoon. I have to say the 2 trailers are awesome. The visuals are great. can't wait for this game.
It's the Lamborghini LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, not Balbino. It's the only rear-wheel drive version of the Gallardo and is named after Lamborghini's famous but now retired test driver, Valentino Balboni.

Thanks for the heads-up Graeme and sorry for the mistake.
Hopefully we'll see you on the race track sometime?
I think El33t needs to create a post and then every one comments their best time and track and car. and we will have like a Mini Demo Comp...just an idea.
This is something we are definitely looking into. We'll update you once we have made a plan! Time to rally the troops :)
Awesomeness. I'll need to do some practice runs (no pun intended) while i wait.
Got the demo on xbox its fun will maybe buy it
@Lisa You'll certainly see me on the Forza 4 race track, but while I think NFS: The Run looks interesting, I'm not going to have time to try it out. Besides, I've still got an unopened copy of NFS: Hot Pursuit waiting for me...
unopened copy of NFS hot Pursuit.......that is sad. I don't even own Hot Pursuit.... I'll do some the Run tonight and the weekend I'll dive into the racing seat in Shift 1 or 2
I was'nt that impressed with NFS Hot Pursuit tbh but yeah i will also have to wait maybe a little before thinking of getting anything else my plate is gonna be full enough as it is
my plate is not just full, its over flowing..... i need like a months leave to catch up with half of all my backlog of games........makes one feel good and sad....
I finally managed to play this on Xbox 360 last night, and it's really fantastic, only the framerate on the 'box is a tad choppy - just sub 30, I reckon. Also, I'm not too pleased having to sit through a long loading screen and then the introduction (unskippable) if I want to retry an event, just like Hot Pursuit.
I'm guessing the framerate will be better in the final game, but I can't see them smoothing out subsequent retries, unfortunately.
I agree with the unskippable screens and the loading times was bit much, but the game over all was really good, also gave it a Try lastnite, had to get use to using the controller to drive as i always use the steering wheel. crashed a couple of times. Its cool they introduced the autolog into the demo, i've beaten my uncles time on my second try.
