Releasing in early 2012 around the world (and for $39.99 in the US), the Devil May Cry HD Collection will include all of the sword-slashing, gun-toting, enemy-juggling action you can handle, with bonus content, Trophies and Achievements included.

For the uninitiated, here are Capcom-provided recaps of each of the Devil May Cry games included in the package, accompanied by some comparison screenshots looking at the differences between the original and high definition versions of the games:

“Debuting in 2001, Devil May Cry immediately redefined the action genre, achieving a metacritic of 94 . The title captured gamers’ hearts through its stylish, over-the-top action and bad boy anti-hero Dante. Son to a human mother and a devil father named Sparda, the half-demon Dante uses his innate abilities and the powers of ancient demons to fight a one-man war against the forces of darkness and save humanity from damnation.”

I have to say this is pretty good news, as i always wanted to play these games, but never got to play them, the visuals have alot more detail in them and can't wait to play this game. Hope full this will also be arriving on the Xbox 360 but I think they said the game will be available on the Xbox.

looks really good! :)

Yet another remake. Now we just need a real official announcement (with a trailer or some screens) for the Jak remake.

Playing Jak X on my PS3 .... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

@POItjie It's coming to the Xbox 360, MS dropped the original Xbox like a bad habit as soon as the 360 came out, so if you read Xbox anywhere, you can safely assume it's the 360.

DMC1 was a landmark game, it basically invented the "stylish hard action" genre. DMC2 was a bit of a limp follow-up, you could just about beat the entire game by mashing the shoot button, it didn't require any of the flair of the first game. DMC3 was apparently a return to form, but I didn't really manage to get into it, not that I put a lot of time into it, I had a 360 by then and it was difficult going back to PS2 games.

I wonder how well they will stack up after all these years? Part of me is happy to see them re-released, part of me just thinks it's Capcom trying to reuse its games like they're notorious for doing.

I think these games are going to be good, I've got DMC3 on the PC, but can't play it as the controls are messed up and i can't change the resolution..... so I'll have to wait for this trilogy pack. I'm actually more looking forward to the Silent Hill HD trilogy pack. But will have to wait and see.
