That’s a wrap! Almost!
Another weekend has arrived, sooner for some than for others, and it’s now time to reflect on our past accomplishments and make plans for the next two days.
Here’s what members of El33tonline are going to busy with this weekend, but be sure to let us know what games you’ll be playing and what kind of activities you’ve got planned, too:
Lisa
“The game deluge of October/November has officially begun, but I’m happy to report that I’m ready to be washed away in its flood of gaming goodness.
This weekend I’ll be getting groovy with Just Dance 3 and hoping that RAGE lives up to my expectations. I also downloaded a new mode for Resistance 3 so I hope to get the chance to test that out. And then there’s that Gears of War 3 match to think about…
The El33t team are all hard at work playing games and polishing off their reviews, so stay tuned to read all about the latest game releases this Monday. Also come early to get your entries in to all of our new competitions which we will also have ready to go on Monday morning.
And get ready, because The Batman is coming…”
Peter
“Forza!
Between Forza Motorsport 4 and F1 2011 I have my gaming cut out for me. Now since I don’t care to watch any more of the World Cup I should have much time to dedicate to driving Lamborghinis and F1 cars.
I’m also going to spend a bit of time comparing GT5 with Forza 4, just to incite mild riots for kicks.”
Daryl
“Rugby World Cup semi finals time! I’m still recovering from the Boks being knocked out by the worse ref in history…Bryce Lawrenece….another bad kiwi ref. This weekend I’ll supporting the Aussies and the French. Hopefully it will set up a great final next weekend - Australia vs France!
Exams start next week so this weekend will consists of a lot of studying. When I get to to have a break I will be relaxing with some NHL 12 and NBA 2K12 - two of the best sports games I have ever played.
I may even take my books to the beach and get some Durban sun. I hope you all have a great weekend!”
Tom
“This weekend should see me finally completing Dark Souls and thus bringing you a well-informed review for the game. It’s been a long, hard journey and there’ve been times when I wondered how I was ever going to progress. That said, it’s been really enjoyable and memorable to be this consumed by a game - I can’t remember being so deeply invested in a RPG since the great triad of Final Fantasy titles during the PlayStation 1 generation.
I’ll also be watching some World Cup rugby and spending a good portion of the weekend delving into FIFA 12’s exciting new features.
Happy gaming everyone!”
Warren
“I think it’s round about time to give the old property market a visit. So, I’ll be grabbing my top hat and monocle for some real life Monopoly. Estate agents beware! Oh and yes, “I’m just browsing thank you very much”.
I might even be persuaded to go a couple of rounds in UNO, who knows where this w33kend could end up?”
Bryan
“Oh wait - what? Another week? The ‘Boks are out of the World Cup? This is truly distressing!
As an aside, why is everyone baying for Mr. Lawrence to be banned? He didn’t pick himself to ref. the game! Target the people that appointed him! And as an aside to the aside, remember that conspiracy email against South Africa a few years back? Well, that “yarpie” email came from a certain Mr. Lawrence (senior) … Interesting…
Back to business, I’ll be finishing off X-Men: Destiny and welcoming home Oltman and his lovely wife after they conquered (hopefully) the highest peak in Africa!
I’m relieved to get away from the zombie craze for a while. I mean, there can’t be any zombies in an X-Men universe! So off I go defending the near-future world from a reincarnated Bastion who’s hell-bent on turning the entire population of earth into, and I quote, ‘brain-washed zombies’ … (Awkward pause) … Oh dang.”
