Despite the fact that Kirby’s latest yarn-filled adventure is yet to become available in EMEA territories, a brand new Kirby game was revealed during a Nintendo investor meeting late last week, announced by none other than company president Satoru Iwata himself:
“It’s been a while since we launched the previous home console version of the Kirby game where Kirby can inhale enemies, spit them out and morph,” Iwata lamented, “but a team at Hal Laboratory, Inc. is developing a new Wii game from the Kirby’s Dreamland franchise now.”
While gamers in Europe, the UK and South Africa wait for the release of Kirby’s Epic Yarn (the game released in North America and Japan in late 2010), we can watch an excellent-looking trailer for this new Wii-bound Kirby title, slated for release this year (in Japan at least), which looks to be a return to a much more traditional Kirby style than Epic Yarn’s (awesome) departure.
(Note: Please excuse the lower quality of the video for now. Higher quality assets will become available closer to when Nintendo is ready to officially announce this new Kirby game.)
