For all of you European gamers out there whose primary gaming platform happens to be an Xbox 360, spare an eyeball for a minute because the demo for a new action game has just hit your Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Even though the demo for Vanquish (the ‘action game’ in question) became available in North America over Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network on Tuesday, and then on the European PlayStation Network yesterday, Xbox 360 gamers in Europe have had to wait until today to be able to download the taster.

No real reason was given for the delay, but if you’ve been waiting to test out this insanely extreme action shooter, now’s the best time… granted you’re an Xbox LIVE Gold member, of course…

The Vanquish demo weighs in at 467 MB and includes the following crazy features:

“Vanquish Official Demo – Velocity Attack is set in the landing bay of the Providence Space Colony in a desperate fight to gain control of the facility. But the enemy has more in store as the massive Argus robot emerges to dominate the battlefield.

“Boost into the ultra-fast and frenetic third-person-action-shooter, Vanquish. Boost from cover point to cover point blasting robot enemies with your transforming weapon pod.

“Use the high-tech Augmented Reaction Suit to amplify your senses to a critical state and get the drop on your opponents, thrashing before they ever knew what hit them. If enemies get too close, punch, kick and pummel them into scrap. See what the ‘action’ in third-person-action-shooter is really all about.”
